A lead-acid battery pack installed at your home or dock runs $1,200 to $1,800, a lithium conversion $1,600 to $3,500, brake work $75 to $400, tires $75 to $150 each, a solenoid $100 to $250, lighting work $75 to $400, and the $50 to $100 service call is usually applied toward any repair you approve. Where your job lands depends on the cart’s brand, model year, and pack voltage, and we give you a flat quote at the driveway or dock before we touch anything.

Lake Havasu City proper, Desert Hills, and the Island sit at the low end of the range. Topock, Golden Shores, Parker Strip, and Parker sit toward the top, since the trip out along the river corridor takes longer. The fee exists because our tech and a load tester show up at your house or dock; it goes away, in effect, the moment you approve a repair.
For that fee we run every test in order rather than eyeballing the cart: per-battery voltage and load test, a hydrometer check of specific gravity on flooded packs, a voltage-drop test along the main cables under load, charger output at the plug and the receptacle, and solenoid, throttle, and controller checks if the cart still will not move. We show you each reading first, and only then talk price.

Every pack price includes installation, cable and terminal inspection with anti-corrosion coating, a full watering on flooded packs, hold-down torque, a test drive, and haul-away of the old cores. Lead cores have recycling value, so there is no disposal fee and no 60-pound batteries left in your garage or dock box.
Every lithium conversion we do comes with a charger built for lithium, since a LiFePO4 pack never charges properly on a lead-acid profile. Lake Havasu City has real grade: the lake sits at roughly 452 feet where London Bridge crosses the Bridgewater Channel, and the airport six miles north sits at 783 feet. Heat drives most of these calls. A controller or charger baking in a closed garage or dock box through a Havasu summer fails sooner than the same part would in a milder climate, and a corroded main cable, more common on dock and Island carts that see splash off the boat, mimics a dying pack. Under A.R.S. 28-966, a neighborhood electric vehicle has to be built to the full federal low-speed vehicle equipment standard before it can use a street posted 35 mph or less, and that standard includes headlamps, stop lamps, turn signals, taillamps, reflectors, mirrors, a windshield, and seat belts. A plain golf cart, capped at 25 mph under A.R.S. 28-101(38), does not gain street rights just by carrying that equipment; it takes the underlying federal build standard and a VIN. The pre-season tune-up pays for itself here more than almost anywhere. Watering and terminal care alone are the difference between a two-year and a five-year lead-acid pack in a climate that hit 128°F on June 29, 1994, the hottest temperature ever recorded in Arizona. Why two carts land at different points in a range
- Pack voltage and battery brand. Premium Trojan 8-volts in a 48V cart cost more than value 6-volts in a 36V cart, and no other line on our list moves as much.
- Cart type. NEVs from ICON and Evolution use different controllers, onboard chargers, and lithium battery-management systems than a fifteen-year-old Club Car DS. Parts cost more and diagnostics take longer.
- Lifted and modified carts. Lift kits bring bigger tires, custom wheels, and aftermarket controllers, which raise the parts bill and can add labor.
- Dock and Island access. A cart at a dock or accessed by golf cart bridge or narrow lane sometimes adds handling time; ask for that to be priced up front, not after the fact.
- Distance. Distance only shows up in the trip fee, never in the repair price. Repair prices are the same in Parker as they are downtown.
What we leave off the list
We leave off two things. Factory warranty work is not part of this, because we are independent and not authorized by Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, or Evolution. Warranty claims belong with your selling dealer. And a repair worth quoting is one worth recommending: on an old cart with a tired frame, a failing controller, and a dead pack, the honest number is sometimes “put the money toward a newer cart,” and we will say that rather than write a $2,000 ticket.
Getting an exact number
Tell us whether the cart is gas or electric, its brand and model year if you know it, the battery count (six 6-volts is 36V; six 8-volts or four 12-volts is 48V), and what it is doing. Nothing helps us more than a picture of the battery bay. You will get a flat quote and a window, and the FAQ covers the questions that usually come up between the quote and the visit.
